*First, open the "AntiSpyWare" folder on your Desktop

I find using "Right-Click ==> Open" the easiest method with the mouse.

As the Spybots program opens you will see...

Spybots Opening Window

When you click the "Search for Updates" button, this window opens

Select any US Flag to get the appropriate files.

Click "Continue"

Clicking Continue then opens this window.

Check the listed updates, then click the download button..

The "working" cursor that you see depends upon which version of Windows Operating System (Windows XP or Windows Vista) that you're running.

Now that updates have been downloaded and installed, you can run your system scan.

Click the "Check For Problems" button.

This image shows the program running during a scan.

Once, the scan completes, if any problem files are found, click "Fix Selected Items" to repair your system.

BUT

Hopefully, you will just see a "Congratulations..." message saying that no problems were found. If the program finds problems, click the "Fix Selected Problems" button to remove the problem files.

The "Congratulations, no problems found "message is our goal; not to repair problems but rather to prevent them so that there is not more of this...

Computer Frustration

*If I worked on your computer, you will see this shortcut on the Desktop. If not, it will not be there.

This is an online forum that I've found I like very much. It is a family oriented site where you can ask or answer questions in a wide variety of subjects. I am currently the moderator of the computer section.
