Recording Problems? Perhaps something here will help. There are some instances where the RealPlayer Plus Record feature is not functioning correctly. The following is a list of content that will cause problems with the Record feature of RealPlayer Plus: 1. MP3s streamed via the RTSP protocol - This content is, incorrectly, reported as a Live stream by RealPlayer. As such, you cannot record streamed MP3 files. The record button remains inactive during playback. 2. SureStream content - If you record SureStream content, you may experience audio or video dropout during playback. In some rare instances, RealPlayer will cause an error (Illegal Operation or a General Protection Fault), requiring you to exit the application. If you experience this behavior, you must delete the recorded SureStream files. 3. Local RealMedia (.rm) files - Recording a RealMedia file located on your hard drive may cause an Invalid Page Fault in RealPlayer. You may also experience an Invalid Page Fault if you attempt to play the recorded file. If you experience this behavior, you must delete the file. 4. Toggling the record button - If you start recording a clip and then toggle the record button off/on to begin record again, you will record an empty file. Playback of this file will cause a General Error in RealPlayer. If you have toggled the button during record, please delete the resulting file from your system without attempting playback. 5. Recording any content with RealPlayer 7 Plus for Mac OS - Recording may be very slow due to constant buffering and pausing. It may take up to 2 hours to record a 25 minute clip. RealNetworks will fix the known issues with the Record feature in a future release of RealPlayer Plus. |
I hope this helps!
